Great ideas. I definitely want to keep the tat congruent. I've been thinking about a dragon approaching from a distance or maybe Japanese maple leaf tree with a Japanese shrine.

This is the space I'm trying to fill....

Something like this with maybe a maple tree, but the setting looked distance or far off and than adding in more wind and maple leafs for the background.

Was also thinking of having a dragon as if it was approaching at a distance ready to attack with maple leaves floating in the background.

This would be heavily altered to match the dimension of the tat, but this is the style dragon I was thinking of.
