So finally go the boss to give in and let me start a medium range sniper setup, going dpms in 7.62 prolly get the oracle as a base and build up from there, just got the godhead today so been catching up on all things 308 lol... Murica

7.62 dpms as in AR10 plattform? When I think of sniper I think bolt action. I have a Savage with the floated bull barell in 308 that shoots better than I do.

Yup ar 10, I'm going to build this up for 2-700m depending, will take a little while to upgrade everything, to get it there, maybe sniper is the wrong word, let's say designated marksmen setup lol

I have a DPMS MOE Warrior AR15 and I love it..... however, if I were to buy a .308 it would have to be a Ruger SR762. No gas impingement system, as it's piston drive, like an AK. No gunky chamber after a few rounds and extremely reliable and sturdy. Comes with Magpul magazines also, a huge plus. The Stoner AR10 platform is a nice gun but it has the same flaws as the AR15. Now, take the Stoner platform except remove the biggest flaw of the entire AR system and voila, you still have the inherent accuracy with much greatly enhanced reliability. Eugene Stoner made a great battle rifle in the AR15 and the AR10, but that doesn't mean they can't be improved. ;D

If I could afford that I would lol, I just want to pick up something I can fix up, so by the time it's done I'm not sure how much dpms stuff will be left, but I believe you can find uppers with the piston that convert from the standard gas, only problem is it's like 2500 lol.... Why can't I ever find a cheap hobby
