Dana White shares grim news on a Conor McGregor octagon return
UFC CEO Dana White provided an update on a possible Conor McGregor return to the octagon and he didn't sound optimistic.

It's becoming more and more likely that former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor may never return to the octagon.

The "Notorious" hasn't fought since breaking his leg in a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. In the nearly four years away from fighting, McGregor starred in the remake of the movie Roadhouse, faced mounting legal troubles and announced a campaign for president of Ireland.

In November, McGregor was found liable for sexual assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018. Following the verdict, sponsors dropped the Irishman including the Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey brand. He released a statement declaring his innocence and appealed the ruling.

McGregor was expected to make his anticipated return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last June but pulled out of the event due to a foot injury.

UFC CEO Dana White was asked about McGregor making a return by reporter Adam Glyn in a recent interview on TikTok and didn't sound optimistic.

"He's not fighting any time soon," White said. ""I haven't talked to him in a minute. I don't know."

McGregor turns 37 in July. He's been on the sidelines for nearly four years, and his window of opportunity is rapidly closing. Each day that goes by, the likelihood of McGregor fighting again diminishes.
