Oh shit that is one hell of a break bro, in half.. Sorry to hear that, maybe you can do a little bit of light stuff around the house when you feel like moving around more.

Thanks brotha....I am gonna have to or else I'll go nutso.

Surgery tomorrow.....Happy New Year to me... 😀

Hope you have a speedy recovery bro.

How long is surgery and how long is the recovery?
Surgery only takes 45min....recovery is anywhere from 3-6months. Can't eat anything after midnight tonight and my serguery is scheduled for 2:00PM.

I was told yesterday by my during the the consult that they encourage you to put weight on it as 2wks post-op. He told me that with extension of the knee and the weight bearing(as tolerated) actually compresses the two bones together helping the healing process. With opposed with flexion they will separate. Make perfect logic when ya think about it.

damn my brother. My wife and i will be praying for you. For minimum pain and a fast recovery!!

Ouch, that sure has to suck. Heal fast brother!

I myself have had a hairline fracture in my left kneecap from playing football as a kid. Lucky for me it didn't separate completely but had to wear a cast for 8 weeks, then had some PT to help in healing process.
