Many people at my gym who lift "heavy" don't bother much about the form. What about you, guys?

If you're goin very heavy you can't maintain the same strict form as with lighter weight and might need a little momentum. If you cycle your weights when your using the lighter weight you can control and practice your form and squeeze the contraction. As the weight gets heavier over the weeks of the cycle you will reach a point where you aren't strong enough to maintain perfect form as far as squeezing the reps, but you should still try.
With excessively heavy weight your form will suffer, but as long as you're not doing anything that could possibly cause injury you should be ok. Having to use a little momentum to get full contraction on your reps isn't a bad thing if you stay tight and don't get sloppy.
That's why I like to cycle, you get the best of both worlds. :D

As a trainer...I MUST say form! If you can't lift the weight properly, drop to a lower weight and keep the form correct. Over time the strength and bigger weights will come. I am also a competetive powerlifter...so to me bouncing the weight off your chest is not a bench press

I used to go heavy, but after a nice shoulder injury thats no longer the case- I now go strictly form with a nice sqeeze at the end of every rep. I have been inching the weight back up, but I don't go just for the weight anymore- getting to old for that- I'll leave it for the young bucks!
I like both worlds. but HATE light weight.
I can lift 315 the same amount of reps I can lift 225, possibly even 135, after x amount of reps I tire out no matter the weight, it's like fng cardio
