Every time I'm on AAS, I have joint pain, probably because I'm pushing myself harder.
I'm considering going for lighter weights and high reps from now on. Any thoughts?

Thats a good way to workout the pumps are insane just mix it up and you should get great results. Maybe also try and pyramid the weight start of light and do four sets each set add more weight so your doing one or two sets with the heavy weight. I train with a weight I can do for 12-15 reps then move up I stay away from heavy weights now. Its working great for me and my joints arn't always hurting like they use to. It will take a little longer to get the muscle mass but as we know its not a race it takes time.
I have that problem too. I started cycling my weight over 4-6 wk periods. The heavy end of the cycle is something I can only get 4-5 reps with 2 wks in a row. Then when I hit that peak I cycle back the equivalent of about 10-30 pr wk. for the number of wks. the cycle will last. Say I'm heavy for 5 reps at 405 on my squat. If I intend to do a 6 wk cycle at 20lbs pr wk, I'll take the weight back to 285, ( 20lbs x 6wks = 120, 405 - 120 = 285 ). So at that point my reps will go up where they may and I will do sets to failure, NOT FOR REPS. Always do sets to failure after warm up work instead of for reps no matter what the weight is and you will grow much faster, guaranteed! Another rep is better than another set where intensity is concerned and that's what makes you grow.
My point also is that the cycling gives your skeleton time to recover on the light end from the heavy weight and by the time the cycle gets heavy again you feel strong w/ much less pain. :(

Today was my first "light" workout in months if not years and I found it really hard not to push/lift heavy but I have to stick to that kinda training because my joints ache a lot (especially the wrists).

Do they ache even when your off cycle?

No, they don't. It's really cycle-related.

Sounds like you're fairly sure it's from workin too heavy when you're on...

Yes it is and ... even if I'm trying to stick to light weights, I end up lifting just as heavy as before.

MG, How often do you de-load your weight training? I lift heavy three weeks and on week four, I go lots of reps with about 50% my 1RM(de-load)this helps my body and mind recover from the abuse of going heavy all the time...seems to help keep the pain at bay...also use biofreeze during my workout on my elbows and or knees..depending on what I am lifting that day...

I never de-load. I try to increase the weight each workout (I feel like crap when I don't cuz I'm lifting with the guys and they push me all the time).

You gotta de-load...atleast sometime...your CNS can't take the constant stress of lifting heavy all the time and as you are already finding out..it is hell on your joints...as well as soft tissues...you gotta take some time down..take a week and work with about 50%of your 1RM...then hit it hard to you feel like you need a break again...as for the guys..they need a de-load week too!:D

I de-loaded a little bit this morning but I ended up lifting almost as heavy for my last set as I used to.

Cycling or deloading will help a lot. I always feel really strong after cycling back at about 5-6 wk intervals.
I had a problem with my thigh bones, it felt like there were cracks in them or something they hurt so bad when I squated. I tried cycling and even quit altogether for about 6 mos. but it didn't go away. What is wierd though is that after doing a cycle with some over the counter pro hormone, Tren Extreme, before they banned it, my legs healed up completely and it hasn't come back at all!
How is Tren for women? Maybe a small dose mini cycle would help heal you up?

I never tried Tren. Does anybody here know how it works in females (at low doses)?

Unless you have intentions of stepping on stage, please stay away from tren. Yes, it will harden you up and add slabs of muscle, but the side effects are even more extreme for women than men, and they can be pretty harsh even for a man.

I would stay very far away not worth the risk alot of those sides might be unreversible.

I know what that stuff did to my X: it made him moody, sweaty, horny and ... used to shut him down
I remember a girl running tren and she had to shave like a guy every day and she had a very big clit
