Ok all, here we go. After several posts and some AWESOME answers from many of you at a couple of sites, (BTW thanks to all that have helped me along) I have started my cycle.
Really, my doctor has had me on 200 mg Test-E every other week for the last 3 months, so I am "technically" already on. However, I went and saw him today for some follow up lab work, testosterone is still low, so he bumped it to 300mg every other week, but all the values look good, so I began my own cycle today-300mg Test-E. (insert Darth Vader voice "You dont know the power of the dark side....")
I am going to run 600mg Test-E for 15 weeks, maybe stretch it out to 17 weeks, we will see. No other gear, just Test-E and a ton of protein and a multi-vitamin. Probably will add some AAKG pre-workout for the pump. I will keep this post rolling through the weeks for updates, maybe to help someone, somewhere that is just getting into it and trying to learn. Hope I can provide some useful info. If any of you have suggestions on what I should watch and keep posts on, let me know.

May the force be with you. :starwars

Week 1 under my belt, 15/16 or so to go. Cant say that I feel all that different, except a little sore from injections. Work-outs are going good, my schedule is Mon-chest/biceps, Tue-legs, Thu-triceps/shoulders, Sat-back and a little cardio on Wed and Fri. Finding it hard to get the 400+ grams of protein in each day, any suggestions on that? More to follow as we go along....later guys!!

A couple of protein shakes can help get the numbers up.

You should've added an oral like dbol or tbol. That enanthate is going to take a few weeks to really kick in.

Yeah, I am throwing down 3-4 shakes a day, just feel like I am always eating. I am not too happy about waiting for the test-e to kick in, but I really wanted my first cycle in 4 years to be 1 compound so I can see how my body reacts and I will know how I handle test, then I will add some others and see what happens. Guess, I am just being cautious and learning as I go, I would hate to be on a couple of things and have a reaction I don't like then have to guess which item is causing it. No worries, I won't be a single compound guy after this cycle.

Week 2 complete and Christmas is around the corner. First Merry Christmas to everyone out there, hope your day is full of joy and family. So, I am 2 weeks into my cycle and I can say I am starting to feel a pump from the test-e. Feels pretty good. Gym routine is going well and I feel pretty jacked while working out. Appetite and protein intake are getting better and it is a little easier to get the protein in. I will admit that this week has not been the cleanist diet I have ever eaten, but I have been working out and getting in the protein and Christmas is only once a year, right? Couple of questions on some things I am feeling, maybe some advise from the experts out there will shed some light for me:

-Getting headaches, especially while working out. I take a serving of SuperPump 250 prior to my workout, not sure if that is causing them or if I am not getting enough water intake.
-Also feel a little sore in the joints, again not sure if it is a lack of water or my joints getting used to the heavier loads on them.

Thats it, more next week. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!! God Bless!!

Are you running adex? If so, you may need to back off the dose. If not, then like Buck says, jack up the water intake!

Keep an eye on your bp bro...if it gets high, it can bring on some headaches.

Wabbitt- No adex, just the test-e 600 mg a week. I will up my h2o intake.

WEEK 3: I can really feel a difference in the gym and getting stronger faster. And my recovery time seems to be lower as well, even with the heavier loads. Appetite is good, still hard some days to get enough protein, but I am making progress. Emotionally, I am a little on edge. I hate to admit it, but I was watching an episode of Overhaulin' yesterday and got a little teary when the guy got his '70 Mustang back, tricked out with a BOSS 302 in it, it was sweet!!! Anyway, all is going well, looking forward to the next 12-13 weeks and even more so to my next cycle. No idea, what I will add to the test-e, but it will be great!! But, first I will concentrate on this one and do all I can to maximize my growth.

BTW- headaches have pretty well diminshed, increased my h2o intake.

God Bless and Happy New Year to all you guys and gals!!

Great to hear brother...been wondering about you. For the next one, I'd lean to deca and test. You will love the deca...at our age it is a miracle drug!

The emotional thing sounds like you have some high estrogen buddy. What kind of anti e are you using and what dose?

Oh yeah, and ...

It usually takes me top fuel dragsters or funnies to get my tears flowin... I think it's the nitro they're runnin! ;)

Similar to their Top Fuel counterparts but with a shorter wheelbase and a carbon-fiber body that loosely resembles a production-based automobile, Funny Cars routinely run in the 4.7-second range and are capable of speeds in excess of 330 mph. Funny Cars are powered by the same 7000 hp supercharged and fuel-injected 500-inch engines as Top Fuel dragsters. Funny Cars are also similar to Top Fuel dragsters in that they do not use a transmission but rather transmit power to the huge Goodyear rear slicks through a multistage clutch assembly that is activated by timers.

Oooh ya! Top fuelers are like the 8th wonder of the world!

Wabbitt-

Thanks for the ideas on the next cycle, quite happy right now. As for anti-e, I am taking nothing right now. I have some nolva on hand, in case. To be honest, I have always been on the emotional side, but, I guess it is just a little more pronounced now. What do you suggest I do, I can handle the emotional part, but if it you think it is unhealthy in anyway, let me know.

and yeah....

LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!! KICK THE &$#@ OUT OF FSU!!!!

Well, I'd say you should start taking 20mg a day of nolva. Too much estro can be a bad thing...water retention, mood swings, GYNO, etc.

It will take a bit for the nolva to take effect, so you really don't want to wait for gyno symptoms to show up before you start it.

20 mgs of nolva ed for the rest of this cycle? Anything I should look for while taking the nolva? I will start it today, always follow the lead of the experienced guys, so thanks for that.

Question: I have read that nolva does not actually reduce the levels of estrogen in the body, but serves more as a blocker and that it may reduce muscle gains in some cases because it reduces IGF in the body. Now, I am not trying to make the next round of Mr. Olympia or even Mr. NC for that case, but I want to be sure I am clear on what exactly nolva is going to do and not do, can you clarify this for me?

Also, you mentioned Deca being good for guys "our age"....dude...we aint that old....LOL!!

Nolva will reduce water retention associated with excess estrogen. Many relate this to reducing gains...as the numbers on the scale seem to diminish. It's not healthy gains anyhow, so what are you really missing? As for me personally, I'd much rather finish my cycle without needing to buy new bras:D

No, we may not be old, but we aren't exactly spring chickens either.

Don't get caught up in all the techno mumbo jumbo just yet. As long as the estrogen can't bind to the receptors, it's effects are basically null. The goal with 20mg isn't to completely diminish estrogen, just to reduce the negative sides associated with excessive levels.

We need some estrogen...it does serve a purpose. Arimidex can drop it to almost zero if you run too high a dose. Then you face a whole new host of problems...dry achy joints, etc.

ok, gotcha. Yeah, not really interested in buying new bras, unless they are for the lady of the house....then game on!!!!

I am going to start takin them tonight, for the rest of the cycle, right?

I prefer to think of myself as a late winter chicken....I can still see the spring.

As always, thanks for the great insight.

Alright, week 4 and things are going good. Update on my gear use, I am taking 600mg of Test-E a week and have added 20mg of Nolva every day, based on some recommendations (thanks, Wabbitt). To be honest, I feel great, strength is going up quickly and growth is noticable, I could still stand to eat a little more, but I am working on it. I am still up in the air about how long I run this cycle, anywhere between 12-16 weeks. I guess it depends on these two questions:

-How long after my last shot should I wait to go and get blood tests to make sure all things are back to pre-cycle norms?
-What is the deal on time off? Is it time on=time off, or is 6 weeks, 8 weeks? Keep in mind when not cycled up, I am on TRT of 300mg every other week, so technically, I am never off. But, I want a recommended timeline before I start my next cycle again.

Thanks guys, more to follow.

BTW, if any of the experienced guys out there think there are some things I should mention or be looking for, let me know.

It has been a couple of weeks since I have made an update, so here we go. Week 6 complete. The last 10 days have been a little rough, getting over a cold and had to take a quick business trip this week, so my work-outs and diet has been crappy. Anyway, overall things are going well. My strength has gone up pretty well. Here are some stats for comparison, now keep in mind these weights are not max sets, but good working sets; bench has gone up from 225 to 315, squat from 245 to 365 and deadlift from 245 to 385.
Now, there is a little hick-up in my plan, a good hick-up, but a hick-up none the less. I have taken a new job and I will travel frequently for 4-6 weeks at a time, so I will have to adjust my work-outs based on what type of gym equipment is available, where I am. Plus all the fun of packing my gear in my luggage, but that is pretty much covered with my legit script for test-e.
More to come as I travel. Peace guys!!
