Hey guys,

Just wondering, hypothetically if you had a problem.. and say you could only train legs and do squats & abs for 3 months.

Would you continue to go to the gym?

Would you adjust your diet?

Would you squat and work abs and legs, say 3 times a week?

Monday - weds - friday

Do you think it wold be sufficient rest periods between each day or you may over work your legs?

Also, do you find that squats strengthen your core a lot?

Also how much overall growth would squats give in you opinions?

I've been squatting 2 times a week for the past month (due to my elbow issue, I cannot lift anything.. and do not want to till its 100% better) and I haven't noticed any growth in my arms, or chest.. or back..

I notice my legs becoming hard as rock, and I feel my core is stronger.. I have also noticed I'm getting wider.. but I have not noticed any other growth and have read a few articles suggesting your arms will grow when squatting.

Appreciate your replies guys.

I know it's alot of questions lol.

I'd look for different leg movements myself, try to find someway to work my upper body even if light.

Of course they are going to strengthen your core, part of the beauty of squats.

Just do cardio and like you said workout your legs and back. You might be able to find some workouts that can cater to your problem. I know for me doing machines really helps.

^bump...and doing legs 3 times a week depends on the intensity level..but if highly intense I would say twice a week...stop bragging about doing legs 3 times a week or else I may lose Buck as my workout partner and he'll join ya :blowup

You dont have to worry about that legs twice a week is plenty for this ole boy

been doing legs once a week for many years but since splitting the quads n hams workout into 2 (1.5 years ago) I noticed much more gains!
