This might sound a bit weird during this day and age but I have my reasons. What are some actions one can do to get laid off instead of fired. I went over my finances and i can live off of unemployment. I have about a month or so until I will be able to start a new job. I just can't do what Im doing now any longer. Plus Im always laid off during the cold rainy season being laid off this time of year would be great all the stuff that can only be done now I will be able to get on it.
hmmm, if work is slow maybe ask employer for voluntary?

Bump that.
Or go talk to him and give him some BS story about how you have to take care of an ill relative or something

Its busy. Im stuck on a job that has me driving 4 hrs ED on Fridays its a 5 hr commute Im also filling up my gas tank 3 times EW. For a example I got off at 2:30 on Friday I did not get home until 6:15 add in another 1.5 hrs for the morning trip I don't get mileage or pay any way.. Sitting in that kind of traffic puts me into the worse mood its also the worse position I can be in with my back injury when I get home I can barely move because my back hurts. Im so done with that.

No Im driving a dodge Dakota and it looks like gas is going up. Its damn good money but moneys not everything. Getting home in a timely matter so I can enjoy some personal time and not be so pissed off because of traffic is priceless. By the time I get home Im pissed off and I have to start getting things ready for the next day. All my gym time or wacking off time is spent behind that damn steering wheel staring at brake lights. And no Im not going to wack off in traffic.

Why would you want to become a dole bludger?? the lowest of the low??
Find another job. Then leave there. There is no respect in being a bludger esp when your capable of working.

Tellin someone you have a death n the family is bad news bro your asking for some bad shit to happen to yourself by doing that. Besides you will only get paid for about 3 days for a death.
