I've visited several of the locations my gym has, finally found one that has a normal bench!

Using a full rack is one thing, but when trying to lift heavy and you're on a utility bench that is too small and literally sways back and forth is another!

On the normal bench my strength felt more like normal, I only went up to 405 on flat, was my 4th set but still a huge improvement considering where i was at once I originally hurt my back.

This is one of the smaller locations I've been to yet, but they also have a lat pull down! Better DB's, same weights but I like the DB's much better and a decent decline utility bench! I'm going to be going there for my chest and back days from now on!

It's a bit of a drive but well worth it.

LOL, well compared to some of the apes on here it makes me feel extremely weak!

good deal...but I hear ya on "bench"...most of em are so narrow that I easily feel like sliding off of it..very hard to get comfortable....and you wanna talk about strength of an ape..Buck's strength drastically improved like I had never seen before...:eek:

Glad you found the right gym for you, GRIM. The utility benches are OK for most of us but then again, you're bigger than most of us ;)

Buck is like 9 feet tall and 700 pounds. He outta be benching 1000 by now;)

I had an olympic bench gave to me, so I took and replaced the board and padding and made it wider. Mucho better...And I can take a nap between sets. :)

Haven't even hit the gym since Monday, too much shit going on, too much stress, may be awhile before I get back to gym :(
