My trainer had me try to do a pullup the other day. I couldn't even do one. :(
I would like to be able to do at least one. What can I do to strengthen the right muscles so that I can work up to doing a pullup?

Use a chair to help assist you thru a few. After a bit you will gain the strength to do a few on your own.

I Would say dont even think about pullups for a bit. Work on yer biceps and back for a while as the others said, like lat pulldowns, hammer strenghts are also reallygood, before long youll be able to do 1 full rep, tehn you'll be able to do 4 then 8 then 10,, the 1st time you are able to do 1 full pullup will feel awsome!, trust me, Ive been there, just take your time :) dont worry about pullups for now, and just work on gettin' yer biceps, and back muscles strong :)

if you got a weight assisted machine or someone to help you then yes, keep doing pullups...it'll work on the muscles (core) that keep the body stabilizes while performing the exercise plus muscle memory which help stimulate the mind’s adaptation process...just what I stated earlier the more you do something, the better you'll get...like what Kragon said, strength is the key

The PX 90 on back day is about 45 min of just different kind of pull ups. I was talking to a buddy thats done the program and he said his max was 140 pull ups on time. Now thats insane

No. Total of 140 reps. in about 45 min. I think each exercise you get about 2.5 min then move to another one. There's a chest back and legs and back. So its broken up I watch a little of it.It goes from a back exercise to a chest exercise non stop.

Yes it is my friend...yes it is.
I hate to ask, but what is a weight assisted machine? :o:confused:It is a machine with a chin up bar and a dip station made into one. It has weights on it like any other machine, so if you weigh 125lbs and you select 100lbs then your only doing 25lbs.

Okay boys, tell me more about P90x! Someone was just telling me about it today so I can here to find out more! So it's good? What is it exactly? Just a DVD with home workout routines? What equipment do I need for it?
Sounds like I might be able to get a free copy of it....
I was thinking that it sounded pretty good, but if you guys are talking about how hard it is, maybe I won't be able to handle it. :o
