View Full Version : George Foreman Grill
Anyone have one?
I have one that we got for free from an office supply store we do business with. I must admit I thought they were a joke until I got one. I don't use it often, usually only when cutting but certain foods it does cook great.
Just had some very low fat ground turkey, with some jalapenos mixed in and hot sauce, made great burgers w/o bun.
Also great for veggies! It's nuts how much grease comes out of the foods. If I were single I'd use it a lot more!
Tuna Steaks are especially good on it!
The Turkey Cutlets I get are 120 cals for 28 grams of protein, man those are good on it as well. Now I'm getting hungry!

I got that one with like five different plates.
Mine was a freebie, it's a few years old. Has a bun warming area on top 'which sucks' as the top thing does not stay well and the standard plates.

Use it on a daily basis, Usually cook chicken on it with a little BBQ sauce for flavor

I have one similar to the George Foreman grill and I do all my cooking on it... I love that thing... I cook fish, chicken and beef/ground turkey...
Sad thing is once I'm done cutting I will more than likely put it away again :D

Surely it isn't big enough to accomodate your buns:eek::finger2
I had one...one of the very few things I got out of the divorce-then it, along with every other of the few things I got went up in flames:o
You know you want my buns!

I need to get me another Foreman...my girl made me thow mine away when I moved because it was so disgustingly filthy and greasy. She said she wasn't cleaning it, and I knew I wasn't going to clean it, so she said we're throwing this away...in the trash it went. :(

See theres the problem not enough men telling women what to do they just listn to them instead.
Target had a nice big one on clearance today for $35, almost bought it!

LOL!!! It probably would have been worth it to clean it! I like em, still would it of hurt to bought some degreaser and cleaned it for like 5 min. at the most? I guess it was easier to listen and throw it away. DAMN!
Warrior is a real man, he does not clean or like making food on clean surfaces!

I found it in the bottom of a cupboard...it was like a mini foreman, you could only fit one burger or half a steak on it. It sucked anyways. And I do have a skillet with all kinds of good flavors still on it...it gives the meat character! lol

I find it quite easy to clean, I scrape it off as soon as I'm done with it, then clean it right after I'm done eating. I am sure it's only tough to clean when you use it over and over without cleanings in between which would be pretty gross.
I also enjoy the breakfast grill, being able to cook it all in one place and so easy to clean.

they work great, however if used daily they don't last long. The coating eventually wears off and I'm sure that shit isn't consumable. The food your cooking on there may be good for you but then your defeating the purpose by risking yourself for cancer.

Reading this post made me hungry..anyway no foreman for me, neither do I use a microwave. I do all my cooking in a skillet and use oven very rarely (if I decide to bake the potatoes). I never make leftovers because I like my food fresh, plus to me the microwave make the food more chewy like rubber. So that means I cook 5-6 times a day. Yes, I know I need a wife...
A wife can be good for more things than just food ;)

I cook all of my meat on mine and I have had one for years. I have the super delux version now and love the shit out of it. Did not like the original, due to it was a pain in the ass to clean, but he new ones are much easier. Love it!!!!

it's nice to have someone there to have meals ready for you. I move back and forth a lot which I rush trying to cook my meals and eat them in time. I'll have a girlfriend of mine cook me a meal at times when I would be rushing back to eat :) I get piss if I ever eat a meal late so I try to eat on time...only way to grow

I'm a lazy cook (I didn't say lousy ... ) which means that I'd love to cook for a few people but that I hate cooking for myself (I find that a complete waste of time). I have a George Foreman grill but hardly use it, I usually cook stuff in the microwave unless it's an omelet or chicken because I hate chewing on rubber :D

I agree...all you have to do is adjust it on high and let the flame melt whatever is left on grill and scrape it off easy right after
