...a 5 day split? For those who do, what does your routine look like?

I use a 5 day split with 2 days off.

Mon- Chest, Calves
Tues- Back, Traps
Wed- Legs
Thurs- Shoulders, Forearms
Fri- Bi`s, Tri`s, Calves
Sat- Off
Sun- Off


I have used this routine for many years and it has worked great for me. In the summer I throw in Abs every other day and Cardio every other day at 20 minutes per day.

I'm doing something similar right now...I like to change it up now and then.

Mon. Chest
Tues. Legs
Wed. Back
Thurs. Shoulders/Traps
Fri. Bis/Tris

I work out with Wendy, and her calves are EXTREMELY small, so I usually try to hit those at least twice a week for her benefit.

Guess I will probably switch back and leg day...only did it that way because of Wendy's schedule. We are really just getting back into it after missing the gym for three months.

4 days on 3 days off for me.. thas because of my work, altho I would love to be at 5 days on 2 days off

:pThanks for outing my calves Wabbs. They suit me just fine... LOL! I think saying it with a cap. "EXTREMELY small" is kind of exageration. I am not saying there not small, but there not TOO small.:p

Just an update...Bunny's calves are really starting to pop! We've been hitting them hard twice a week. Heavy sets of 40 and 50 reps...talk about burn-HURTS SO GOOD!

Now her LATS...hell, some of the guys here would be jealous of those! Her back is simply amazing!

All yours Wabbs! Thanks for giving me credit on my calves. The funniest part of this intially is you were going to change what you wrote before I seen it, I beat you to it. Thanks for helping me work on my calves though anyway.

Problem is for my fat ass you need a "wide angle" lens:p

They are fine, I just want to edit out a few things before I post them;)

I used to do chest legs back arms shoulders for my 5 day split
it was ok. got hard on joints

I really like our split right now! I'm sure we will change it up, but for the time being we are going to stick with it!
