you can get the bare bones systems with a nice amount of ram Ive seen them with 4 gigs, a decent card a 9800GT, no HD though for about 300$

Yeah Tiger has some great deals.
Almost bought a barebone kit from them, would have been a nice upgrade. But by the time I add on decent cpu cooler, etc decided just to get an entire new system.

Yeah I give my old shit to my brother, I got a intel core 2 duo, 4gig ram, a shitty 8600GT, with vista.

I have plenty of uses for old puters, backups in case on goes down, ftp servers for backups, even for lanning ;)

yeah we have done some lan before in counter strike source, its good control the whole server can add bots and shit, PING 0!
