With the news of our friend Demonsweat's passing away, it has hit this community hard.
Demon was well respected by everyone in this community, his personality and influence was felt and recohnized by everyone. I can honestly say that of all my years on these forums, of all the people I have become friends with Demon was the best of the best.
Yesterday Demon was laid down to rest, his loved ones said their last good byes to the man they had grown to love over the years. Over 2500 people showed to pay their final respects to this great man.
I have been in constant communication with Leah and the rest of Demon's family. Things are going to be rough for Leah and the children. This is why we have put together a fund raiser to assist Leah in making sure that the children can have a good christmas and be able to put food on the tables in the upcoming weeks.
We have started a fundraiser for Leah and the children. I understand that times are tough for many of us, money is hard to come by. But right now we need to come to the aid of our fallen brother's family. Any amount will help in this time of need for Leah and the children. If we can get 200 people to donate $10 that would be $2000 to help give Leah and the kids a chance for a good christmas and help pay for some of the bills.
Guys, I ask for your help in making this a successful event to benefit Demon's family.
There are 2 ways you can help us out. First is we have helped Leah open up a greendot credit card account, anyone wishing to donate can go to the local radioshack and purchase a greendot money pack reload. This will allow Leah to put money into her greendot account and use it to buy food, pay the heat bill, make it a good christmas for the children.
Second way to donate would be to make a purchase via Wal-Mart and have the items shipped directly to Leah and the children. I know there are already at least 4 people going this route to help, so the first method of donating would be preferable, but any help you can do will be appreciated.
Once you have decided to donate, you can email the donation information to demonsweatmemorial@gmail.com. To ensure a system of checks and balances and to ensure Leah gets every penny donated we have put together 4 of us that will be responsible for getting Leah the donations. D-Red, Quazi, AJDOS, and myself will all have access to the email account to ensure accountability.
I would also ask that you PM at least 2 of the 4 mentioned above and let us know that you sent an email with the donation information, this will ensure proper accounting for all donations made.
