One of my mates goes shooting in Vietnam every few years. Different gun rules than in Aust, its very hard to get a gun licence apparently. I will have to find his photos with the pheasant.

O yeah, really strict, you need a gun license and its hard to get one even if you own a station/ranch/farm, one of my uncles has a gun license for his station and he has to keep the gun in the house but the ammo has to be in a shed. You cannot keep them together.

But its ok for the criminals to carry them to rob people. What is yalls crime rate over there is it high or very low.

Exactly!! about 18yrs ago I think, they had a big drive to get guns from 'the average joe' they had changed the rules, so all the good citizens gave up their guns but of course all the baddies didnt :(

My mum had a whinchester 12gauge pumpaction shotgun, she gave it in.

Shooting crimes are pretty rare, more bashings and rapes, plus the laws here are pretty stupid at times, this bloke had his house broken into and he bashed up the bloke who turned around and sued him for - cant think of the word, but for using more force than he should have?? The home owner got fined, really stupid.

I remember the pics of the Aussie government laying the guns down the street and running them over with steam rollers:eek:
Musta made the bad guys feel hella safe:p

wow, didnt know that.

yeah its typical tho, the good guys do the right thing and the baddies take over. There have been shootings lately. But its not the norm.

Funny thing is...The British ban had a "different" effect. Gun crime did in fact go down for a bit, but other violent crimes increased! Knife and bat crimes became big news!

Gun crimes here are mostly done by bikie gangs and drug dealers, just the sort of people you want to have guns :(
