How do you open up amps? Do you need a special tool or something?

They do make a special tool! However, you don't have to have one. Take a nail file and score the rim of the glass, then put an empty syringe-pull the plunger out-on the top and snap it off. Be careful to not get glass in the amp. Truthfully the amp openers are really cheap, and if you are going to use a lot amps, they are the way to go.

You can use the top of an ink pen or I just use some cotton and pop it with my thumb and index finger.

I usually scour them with a file then bust the top off with my teeth. Then load up my 18 gauge and do a peck shot :ahhh:

I use a pen lid to cap the top then snap it open...make it so much easier and you dont have to worry about cutting your self;)

To break the amp, just hold it with your first 2 or 3 fingers and simply push the top with your thumb until it snaps...not a big problem.....Keep It Simple Guys....

Also, Gator...if you use 18ga to shoot with you're a total masochist....LOL
