ATM however, I'd be lucky to put up 365
I plan on getting back to the 400's very soon 'strength is coming back quick' and hit in the mid 400's shortly after!

Build it up, don't force it. By the time you try 4 plates will be easy! :rasta:
Have you tried cissus for your shoulders? I had an issue with mine, so much better since I started cissus.

No more weights for me. I maxed out at 40 BW dips the other day, 25 meter pool underwater the whole way, and 22 BW pullups. I hit 125 crunches in timed 2 minutes .
I am wokring on a better run time so I got an airfilter resperator and modified it to block of 75% airflow to lungs and plan on doing daily jogs and runs with it along with workouts..

A couple yrs. ago (age 37) some guys at the gym were crowding around me and asking how much my max bench was. i rarely try to do a max due to fear of injury.
but, my dumbass friend (who doesn't workout) says, " my friend here can bech 425 lbs.!"
i'm not lookin' to impress anyone at the risk of injuring myself. but, i kinda got put on the spot. i never tried 425 before. but, i didn't give myself the chance to doubt my ability to do it. i just got down and grunted it out. it was part physical and part lack of common sense that did it for me.
these toothpicks wouldn't have been able to spot me if i failed the bechpress. so there was no option but to be successfull.

No pain no gain! :D
Yeah I'll not do it if I think my shoulder wont be able to take it. Usually I can flex and pinch off the shoulder enough that it's gtg
Watching some youtube vids, wow 90% of them the people are only doing a 1/4 rep. When I say I put up a weight, it's fully down and fully up. I also laugh at the ones where the spotter is obviously helping! WTF

You really outta lay off the heavies for awhile if you ever want that shoulder to heal! :spank
The most I have ever benched was 485lbs, that was about 5 years ago and I was wearing my friends bench shirt.
I did 405lbs on the flat bench today for 1 rep after hitting 225lbs for 10 then 275lbs for 8 then 315lbs for 6 and 365lbs for 2. I havent been in the gym in 2 weeks because I messed my wrist up at work punching some dumb punching bag game. I have been in a wrist spint for 2 weeks had x-rays done and got a CT scan on it saturday. I have to wait for the results to come back later this week but I didnt want to be out of the gym for any longer. So I go to the gym and I was going to buy wrist wraps to get me by while I heal up but they didnt have any so I ended up doing chest without any wrist support on my broken(well it feels like it is broken) wrist. I had my wife spotting me and I still hit 405lbs on the flat and 315lbs on the incline. Not too bad for being messed up. If it isnt my shoulder hurting me for the last 12 years it is something else hurting. Now watch I will get all better and wont be able to hit what I did while I was messed up hurt, lol.

I wish I had that problem! lol

Shoulder injuries suck bro. I have had a bad shoulder for about 12 years now. It started out with a little pain when moving it up and down but it seemed to subside a little as time went by and then it would flare up but worse, time after time this happened. Then in the past 3 years or so it has just progressively gotten worse. It hurts the most on any movement pushing away from me. Like when I bench it hurts like hell when my arm is going back when the weight comes down. It hurts when I sleep on it and then it takes forever for me to be able to lift it normally after. It really dampers my bench tremendously. Usually anything over 335lbs it starts to hurt and it holds me back from my true potential. I dont know why I felt so good lifting this morning. I have a bad shoulder and like a broke wrist and I did more than I would usually try after 2 weeks off and all the injuries, weird! I had like super injury strength, like I had to do the weight or else I would be crushed cause my wife is my partner and I am not sure she would have been able to pull that weight off me, lol.
