...to 18.

To lower or not to lower. Discuss...

I feel first and foremost if alch is legal in teh first place, i think that it should really be lowered to 18. My reason hands down is because if one is old enough to take a bullet for my country and die, he/she should be able to drink a beer.

I don't think starting a drinking career at 18 is a good thing nor do I think 18 year olds should be taking a bullet either. Kids are stupid enough when they drink, I wasn't much smarter at 21 just drunk more often:o

hah believe me when I say I did all my drinkinig before i turned 21. I hardly even drank when i was 20. I have 1 or 2 every couple weeks. (i know tihs is hardly the case for most kids/young adults)
this is a solid answer and I couldnt agree more. But since they are not pondering changing the enlistment age then I really thinkg atleast our troops whom are under age should be able to have some beers...

At least here in Wisconsin there is no drinking age 'if' you're with your legal guardian and or spouse :p

Of course they have to say yes they want you to have a drink.

I agree 18 should be the legal age. If you can sign up for the military you should be able to have a beer

I think a compromise would be to allow military exception without lowering it across the board. I agree with Agent on not lowering it though im not sure a 21 year old is much wiser than an 18 year old when it comes to making intelligent decisions.
