As shocking as it sounds rumors have surfaced again that Randy Couture could possibly fighter Fedor Emelianenko in the UFC's Octagon in early 2009. Sources close to MMAJunkie.com confirmed that the fight is being talked about.
It was reported late this week that Randy Couture and the UFC are talking again about a possible return to action in November against newcomer Brock Lesnar and now plans are already being put forth for his second fight if is he is to return.
Nothing is official at this time and it is a long shot for sure considering Affliction plans to have Emelianenko fight the winner of Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett. The news also comes hot off the heals of Affliction VP Tom Atencio announcing to MMANews.com that Fedor has extended his contract with the company.
