this is a link to an article explaining the different phases of bodyfat you can get to. use this as a guide to look at yourself in the mirror to guess your bodyfat. this is a much more accurate way than using calipers.

Hmm, something bothering me a bit -

I have 9.26% body fat - I'm not cut/ripped.

I still have quite a bit of fat on my chest/abs..

my arms are somewhat defined and so is my back - why?

More fat stored in my middle body?

I look more like a mix of the hard/cut rather than ripped/cut.

How was your body fat measured? Not all measurements are accurate, even caliper tests.

According to my gyms I'm 25% roughly which I can safely say is BS.

Gym's electronic gizmo claimed I am 21.6% today, yet a guy who is all fat it claimed like 17% a few weeks ago.

I am not super cut, but damn I can see my ribs to a degree, can see my upper abs and the 'cage' so to speak. Have decent vascularity, literally no fat in my legs, I do not buy their system one bit! :mad:

Still pisses me off!

Measured my arms cold today though, even with me dropping over 20 pounds since my bulk my right arm was almost 20", I'll say 19 1/2" to be conservative ;)

Well, I don't get it. :confused:

If women are supposed to have a bf% of 21 - 33%, does that mean we have to stay in the Full House state?? AFAIK, my bf is somewhere in the low 20's, but I certainly don't look like the guy in that picture!! :eek:

I'm in between Full house and Hard (closer to hard)....but not for long! Grim i know what you mean about that gizmos at the gym...Those things say I am 24% and it said that I am 3 quarts low on water too! Eventhough I was drinking almost 2 gallons a day at the time! I don't think they are made to work well with bodybuilders or athletes in general. Its said my brother was 19% and he is clearly 10-12% tops.

Men and women hold and distribute fat much differently. You really can't compare the two. Those freaky looking women you see at the O with single digit bfs are taking male hormones to look like that.
