There was a woman at my gym that did the lyptical for 45 min ed until her doctor told her to stop. I would say ask your OB what he is comfortable in allowing you to do.

Definitely in such a circumstance I would say to ask your doc first.

If you are an avid excerciser and have been doing so all along, there is no reason you can't continue with your regular routine up until the very end. Obviously avoid jumping around but regular excercise will actually ease your delivery. Some modifications may be required as you get larger.

Its always good to take an expert opinion on these issue..
Few things you must remembers besides normal exercise that your expert may suggest:

1.Before and after your exercise program always remember to do relaxation and stretching.

2.Don't do some vigorous exercise that may lead to breathlessness, which further leads to lack of oxygen supply for your baby.

3.If you are in your second or third trimesters(ie from week 13 till pregnancy) you should avoid exercise that involves laying flat on your back. this decreases blood flow to your baby.
