Not sure if anyone does these or the proper name for it.

Done on the same station as dips, hand position, everything the same except for instead of bending at the elbows for a normal dip you do a reverse of a shrug..

Not sure if that makes sense, you let yourself drop and shrug yourself back up. I've been doing these for about a month or two and really liking them on top of my normal shrugs.

It hits the muscle in the exact opposite way, work up to 180 pounds which is about all I can get onto my belt for 8-10 reps.

Great movement IMO

it works out your sarratus. Its the same as laying on the bench witrh a loaded bar and moving the weight up and down by moving your shoulders back and forth but not bending your arms.

It's in a different direction though, even if it's the same muscle it sure feels different to me.

well, you are using differenc synergists.

think about it. when you do a lat pull down or a pull up you are using your biceps, + rhomboids etc. when you are doing lat pullovers you are using your chest sarratus and triceps.

target area is still lats...
