Anyone ever try them? Today was my first time. I loved them. Couldnt quite do as much as if i was normally squating but it sure will help out my other leg movements alot!

dont really need a box, sometimes ill use my gym bag as a ref. But 4 the most part i get my hammies touching my calves. Platform deadlifts are awesome for flexibility. U ever try barbell hack squats? These are killer!

For what ever reason I cant make my hams tuch my calfs even with light weight. I was doing it more as a quad workout. I liked it. Heard its good for power.

i may try some smith squats to get lower. For what ever reason I think I am too stalky to go like that. (or just off balanced)

i usually do paralelle but damned Im defenatly adding these in as a part of my routine as well as hacksquats.
Im thinking about going to six days a week, or just change to 2 upper body days and 2 lower body days

i use stiff leg deadlifts, and good mornings for hamstring flexibility, this has allowed me to get much lower on all muh squats. if you do close stance on the smith, step forward about 6-8" and lean back into the bar, this will allow u to get lower.

ill go as heavy as i can for 10-12 reps. i dont like going lower reps on sldls cause im scared of injury. ill usually just go with 215lbs, i do them mainly for flexibility, not hypertrophy. i go heavy on close stance smith machine squats though.

thats a good idea, i used to go real heavy like 315 for 6 reps onm sldls.i stopped that tho, I will probably drop to 225 or so and do 15 reps for flex
i had to bring my weight down on sldl's as I kept taking my back out

any of u bros use a belt? i never use one anymore, ive notice my core and lower back are much stronger now.
I rarely use one. Only on my heaviest lifts, or if my back is hurting do I use it. Usually I just bring it with me on my leg/back days just in case.

i had such horrible back pumps yesterday i could not get in a comfortable position for hours. the pain was almost unbearable.

I've gotten those before! That and my lats, to the point where they visibly roll back on themselves!

yeah, me too, I had to sit down in the gym because my back was pumping soo hard.
I use a belt when i do low reps and heavy training because for my size and the weight I am movign it makes sence to protect my slef. When i go for pr's tho I never use anything
