View Full Version : Wide Grip Press
I had given up on wide grip bench press for some time as last time I tore something in my chest.
Recently I began doing standard wide grip, reverse grip wide grip, incline wide grip, reverse wide grip, decline wide grip and reverse wide grip, changing it up depending on the day.
My normal max has not gone up much, my outside of my chest and part of my lats however I can feel are MUCH stronger.
Loving it, just hope I don't tear anything this time around!

just makesure you dont push yourself too hard and stretch properly and you should be good!!
Yeah I don't want to tear something like I did last time around doing wide grips. So far though so good.

Nope not at all. I try to hit minimum 6 reps, used to do 10 reps but lately have been going for 6. I of course don't hit 6 every time, I however try to.

i dont really count reps im more focused on the contraction and pump of thr lift.last night i did chest and it was a great work out.
I try to keep a log, makes it easier to tell where I'm gaining and or losing ;)
